Local SEO Specialist

We’re hiring a Local SEO Specialist who will be responsible for improving the online visibility of our clients to enhance local search rankings, increase website traffic, and drive customer engagement.

Position: Full-time, remote.

THE ROLE | SCOPE OF WORK

  • Develop and implement local SEO strategies tailored to the unique needs of each client or business. 
  • Conduct keyword research to identify local search terms relevant to target locations and industries. 
  • Optimize website content, meta tags, and internal linking structure to improve local search rankings. 
  • Ensure NAP (Name, Address, Phone Number) consistency across all online platforms and directories. 
  • Manage and optimize client listings on local directories, review sites, and mapping services (e.g., Google My Business, Yelp, OpenTable). 
  • Monitor and respond to customer reviews and inquiries to maintain a positive online reputation. 
  • Conduct technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues impacting local search performance, such as site speed, mobile-friendliness, and schema markup. 
  • Develop strategies to acquire high-quality backlinks from local sources, such as local news sites, community organizations, and industry associations. 
  • Monitor local search rankings, website traffic, and customer engagement metrics using analytics tools. 
  • Prepare regular reports to assess the effectiveness of local SEO strategies and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Available for stakeholder interaction in Eastern Standard Time (GMT -5) 

PREFERRED SKILLSETS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Local SEO Specialist or a similar role  
  • Native or expert proficiency in English (US) 
  • Proven experience working in North America, in a native English-speaking environment, or with US clients 
  • Background in the hospitality or restaurant sector 
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with dynamic and leading organizations
